Tryouts for the 2010 W League team attracted over 50 collegiate players from around the area.  29 players arrived with Division I experience under their belts.  "We knew the talent pool in the area was deep, but we are very pleasantly surprised with the quality of talent over our first two tryouts." commented General Manager Aaron Balber.

The Rangers announced today the first commitments for the 2010 roster. Heading the list is Georgetown midfielder Ingrid Wells.
The former Montclair High School player had an exceptional scholastic career and was named New Jersey Star Ledger High School Player of the Year and First Team All-State as well as an NSCAA All-American.












Wells enrolled at Georgetown in 2007 and made an  immediate impact as she started every game for the  Hoyas. She finished eighth nationally in assists per  game, averaging 0.59 per contest.  The 25 points  Wells tallied earned her BIG EAST Rookie of the Year and First Team All-BIG EAST... NSCAA/Adidas National All-American and Regional All-American..SoccerBuzz Magazine National All-American, National Freshman All-American, Regional All-American and Regional Rookie of the Year.

Wells red-shirted in 2008  as she helped lead the United States Under-20 Women's National Team to the 2008 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup.

She returned to the Hoyas in 2009 and once again lead the team with 25 points (7 goals and 11 assists) from her central midfield position. "Her ability to play penetrating passes, take defenders off the dribble and simply raise the tempo of our play both offensively and defensively", commented Georgetown Head Coach Dave Nolan.

Prowling up top for the Rangers this season will be potent striker Katie Ryan. The Wayne Valley graduate and current Villanova Wildcat also had an impressive high school career. Ryan was a three-time all-state selection by the New Jersey Girls Soccer Coaches Association and the Star Ledger ... Two-time `Top  20' pick in the state ... 2007 Star Ledger Player of the Year in Passaic  County and a first team All-County choice each year from 2005-07.












In her freshman year at Villanova in 2008, Ryan posted eight goals and four assists and  was second on the team with 20 points . She also Tallied three game-winning goals and one game-winning assist.  She was named BIG EAST Rookie of the week three times.

Katie shined again in 2009 for the Wildcats as she lead her team with 11 goals and 7 assists tallying up 29 points.

Also signing on for 2010 is University of Southern California Defender Chelsea Buehning.  Chelsea was a four-year starter at West Essex Regional High in North Caldwell, N.J. She was named ConferencePlayer of the Year and was  a four-time All-State, All-Conference and All-County First Team Selection and was ranked in All-State top-20 as a senior.











She appeared in four games for the Trojans in her freshmen year and has started every game for the USC defense during the 2009 season tallying 1 goal and 1 assist.

Solidifying the midfield for the Rangers this season will be Rahway native Amanda Carares. While at Rahway High School, Amanda was a First-team AP All-State selection and the  leading scorer in Union County with 30 goals and 13 assists. She was a Four-time New
Jersey Girls Soccer Coaches Association all-state selection and competed  in the Olympic Development Program.












As a Freshmen at Binghamton University, Amanda Started 13 of 14 games played in central midfield, and netted first collegiate goal in 3-0 win over UMBC. Over the next two seasons she was named to the NSCAA All Regional Team and back to back selections for second team for American East All Stars.

From her central midfield position, Casares led the 2009 Bearcats to the America East Conference title game and tournament runner-up honors.  She also earned first team all-conference honors as one of the best four midfielders in the America East Conference this fall.

"We are very excited about all these players getting together this season. This is a very competitive league and our division is home to some of the toughest teams in all the W League. But we feel confident in the pool of players we attracted in our first tryouts to be truly competitive this season ." added Coach Andy Rotsides.

2010 W-League alignment unveiled

TAMPA, FL – United Soccer Leagues announced the franchise alignment for the 2010 W-League season, unveiling the divisional breakdown of the 29-team competition.

The conference and divisional alignment remains the same as the 2009 season with three conferences. The Central and Eastern Conferences will be comprised of two divisions each.

Four new franchises will take the field in 2010 with the recently announced expansion clubs North Jersey Valkryies and Colorado Rush along with the Santa Clarita Blue Heat, who acquired the Ventura County Fusion franchise rights, and the W-League side being launched by the New Jersey Rangers of the USL Premier Development League.

Season details such as the playoff format and schedule information will be announced in the new year.

Bucci Joins Rangers sidelines for 2010

Denville, NJ - The NJ Rangers W-League team will have a familiar face directing the team this spring with the addition of Dominik Bucci. "Coach Bucci has been an overwhelmingly successful coach over the past number of years in the girls soccer scene in north Jersey", commented General Manager Aaron Balber.

Bucci's resume is very impressive. He has worked with New Jersey ODP as a Head State Team Coach, US Club Soccer ID2 program, New Jersey Futsal, and the Super Y League Regional and National Programs. In the last twelve years, Coach Bucci has coached and guided many Premier Youth teams to State, Regional, and National Titles. Many of the teams he has worked with have consistently competed and continue to compete in the most competitive and prestigious leagues, tournaments, and college showcases in the country. He has personally worked with over 10 Youth National Team players within his programs. Dominick is one of the most respected youth trainers/coaches and runs one of the most sought after Advanced Technical Programs in the Region. He has served as Girl's Director of Coaching for the Parsippany Soccer Club and worked with other programs throughout New Jersey.

Dominick Bucci is the Owner and Director of All America Soccer Development LLC. He is a former High School All-American at St. Benedicts Prep in Newark and Three-time Collegiate All-American. As a player, he has played at the State, Regional, Youth National Team levels, and at the Professional Level. He holds a USSF 'A' License and has coached at the Professional, Collegiate, Club, and High School levels. Dominick also holds the NSCAA Director of Coaching certificate.

Coach Bucci has established a reputation nationally for developing Premier players and teams and has helped place players into the best colleges and universities. Players Bucci has trained and/or coached over the past twelve years include United States National Team Players, United States Youth National Team Players, WPS Professional Players, W-League Players, Super Y League National Team Players, ODP Regional Team Players, New Jersey State Team Players, three Girls NJ High School Players of the Year and two Girls Gatorade NJ High School Players of the Year.
