
Rangers Unveil New Staff for 2010 PDL Season
Denville, NJ -- NJ Rangers FC are delighted to announce the appointment of a new coaching set up with immediate effect.
Carlos Rasoilo who has had a hugely successful coaching career at the youth level and a semi -professional playing level heads up a new coaching team that includes Joe Salgado, Team Manager/Assistant coach and Elvir Prasovic who will be the Goal keeping coach.
New gaffer Rasoilo said "I'm obviously delighted and honored to be the head coach of the team and I am hoping the team can enter a successful period under my leadership. In order for this to happen there has to be changes to the way we operate and a structure put in place to help us develop as a team and as a sport in this country, I am excited and will strive to take the team to the next level."
"We must stretch out and find players from around the northeast area with the ability to compete with the power houses of the northeast, which in turn will increase the popularity of this sport country wide. My immediate plan is to recruit new players to combine with the talent we already have through a regional team trials, which I am hoping can be arranged very soon as I look in preparation for the 2010 soccer season. From this I would like to find a nucleus of a squad to work hard with over the next few months so that we can be better prepared than ever before".

I am confident that Carlos can raise the level of the team and lead the program into contention this coming season". PDL 2010 alignment announced
TAMPA, FL – United Soccer Leagues announced the official alignment for the upcoming 2010 USL Premier Development League season, unveiling the conference and divisions for the 68-team league.
The conference and division alignments remain the same as 2009 with four conferences each containing two divisions of at least six teams. The clubs also remained relatively in place from their 2009 alignment with the exception of the Eastern Conference, which saw the three New Jersey clubs switch to the Mid Atlantic Division with four more northerly-based franchises entering the Northeast Division.
The four new Northeast Division teams are part of a group of nine teams that will make their PDL debut this season, three of whom are returning USL clubs. Former PDL club Vermont Voltage, returning from a year off due to stadium renovations, is one of trio along with former USL Second Division sides Bermuda Hogges and Western Mass Pioneers.
New franchises in the conference are led by the MPS Portland Phoenix and two new expansion sides in Albany, NY and Central Jersey. The three other first-year teams will be the previously announced Dayton Dutch Lions and Fort Lauderdale franchises along with a team returning in Rochester, MN.

FDU's Malijani Commits to Rangers for 2010
Denville, NJ - The Rangers 
hope to solve thier scoring woes from a season ago with the addition of Samson Malijani from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck.
Samson, a native of Zambia, has had a very impressive career so far at FDU. In 2008 he finished the season second in the nation with 0.90 goals per game and tied for first with 2.05 points per game. He was tied for the lead in the NEC with 18 goals and 41 pointsand tied for seventh in the league with five assists. After recording nine points in the NEC Tournament, Samson was named Northeast Conference Tournament MVP.
Malijani was named to the All-North Atlantic Region First Team, All-Northeast Conference First Team and 2008 NSCAA/adidas NCAA Division I Men's All-America Third Team.
Q & A With Samson
Q: When did you start playing soccer?
A: Around age 5. I played for one of the top academy teams in Zambia where soccer was very big.
Q: How did you get to FDU in Teaneck from Zambia?
A: While playing for the top academy in Zambia we traveled all over the world to play. We went to the Gothia Cup and Dana Cup and we also had a chance to play in Sweden. Through this I was able to get exposure and was offered a great spot at FDU.
Q: How has your experience at FDU been?
A: Its been a great experience. Being there and playing in like being part of a family both on and off the field. They are always there to support me.
Q: What has been the greatest influence in your soccer career so far?
A: Growing up in Zambia, I was always one of the best player in my age group so I was always pushing myself to play with the older players. I was very impressed by the older players around me and emulated them. They were all very supportive and helped me and I was inspired by them to excel and improve.
Q: What are your expectations for playing in the PDL this coming season?
A: This is the first year I am playing in the PDL but I have heard so much about it. My main goal is to always have fun but I also want to help the team be successful. I know the competition level will be very high so that excites me.

A: I have always liked Zidane
